By default your account is just a name and a browser cookie — if you clear cookies, switch browsers, or lose your device, that access is gone for good. Linking a Google account or an email address lets you sign back in and pick up exactly where you left off, on any device.

From your profile page, use “Connect Google” or “Add email” under Connected accounts. You can link both at once, and you can keep using the app anonymously if you’d rather not link anything.

Signing in on a second device

If you sign in with a method that’s already linked to a different account on another device — for example you linked your email on your laptop, then sign in with that same email on your phone — Meetingrid will show a screen asking you to confirm combining the two. All meetings and availability from both are merged automatically, you pick which name/avatar/language to keep, and if you had marked availability for the same meeting on both devices, you’ll be asked which version to keep.

Removing a linked account

You can unlink a provider at any time from your profile page. If it’s the only one left, we’ll warn you first — removing it means you become anonymous again and lose the ability to recover access if you lose this device.
