Marking your availability
How to fill in the grid and read overlapping availability.
The grid
Every meeting has a grid of selectable cells -- days, time slots, or both, depending on the meeting type. Click and drag to select the times you're available; click a selected cell again to clear it. Day-based grids (days of week, custom dates) offer a List view (one row per participant) and a Grid view (a weekday calendar with everyone's avatar shown on the days they picked) -- switch between them with the toggle above the grid. For a custom-dates meeting with times, the day columns scroll horizontally (swipe on mobile, or use the arrows) when there are more than seven selected dates.
Reading overlaps
As participants mark their availability, the grid shades cells more heavily the more people have selected them, so the best overlapping times stand out at a glance without anyone having to compare answers manually.
Setting availability with AI
Instead of clicking every cell, you can describe your availability in your own words and Meetingrid proposes a selection for you to preview and accept. See AI prompting.
Importing from a calendar file
For meetings tied to a specific week, month, or day, you can upload your own .ics calendar file and have your busy/free times turned into a grid selection automatically. See How calendar import works.
Changing your answer later
You can go back and adjust your selection at any time -- there's no need to get it right on the first try, and the grid updates for everyone as soon as you save.
