Inviting people & managing a meeting
Getting others into a meeting, and what happens when someone leaves.
Creating an invitation
From a meeting's page, open Invitations to generate an invitation code and its shareable link. You can create more than one invitation for the same meeting, and delete an invitation at any time to stop it from being used to join.
Joining with a code
Anyone with the code (or link) can review the meeting details and join -- no account or approval needed on their end. They'll be asked to pick a display name first if they haven't joined Meetingrid before.
Live updates
A meeting's page updates in real time as participants join or change their availability, so you don't need to refresh to see who's responded.
Leaving or deleting a meeting
Any participant can leave a meeting at any time -- doing so removes their access unless someone invites them back. Deleting a meeting removes it (and everyone's availability) for good and can't be undone.
Setting an expiry
When creating an invitation, pick how long it should stay valid -- 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, 365 days, or Never. Once the chosen time passes, the invitation stops letting new people join and is shown as Expired in the invitations list.
Limiting the number of uses
You can also set a maximum number of times an invitation can be used to join. Once that many people have joined through it, the invitation is shown as Exhausted and no longer works for new joins.
Existing participants are unaffected
Expiry and usage limits only block new people from joining. Anyone who already joined through an invitation keeps their access even after it expires or is exhausted.
